Victorious co-main-event fighter Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza ($94,000) and headliner Ronda Rousey ($40,000) were the top earners at this past weekend’s “Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman” event.MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today obtained the list of disclosed paydays from the California State Athletic Commission.
The total disclosed payroll for the event was $368,000.
“Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman” took place this past Saturday night at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. The main card, including Rousey’s first-round submission over Sarah Kaufman and Souza’s knockout of Derek Brunson, aired on Showtime following prelims on Showtime Extreme.
